We're in the final stages with the centre. There are no screenshots on purpose, because this system holds children's personal and medical records.
The problem
Nedaa Center supports children with disabilities in Doha. Running it means keeping sensitive records about children and their therapy programmes alongside everything a business needs: staff, invoices, payments, expenses, a budget and payroll.
Those two halves have very different rules. The person who issues invoices needs a child's name on them, but has no business seeing that child's medical details. And the centre's licences, and staff documents like IDs and health cards, carry expiry dates that can't be allowed to lapse unnoticed.
What we built
One system for the whole centre, Arabic-first with a full right-to-left layout, and English one click away.
- Children and programmes: records, enrolment, and capacity that warns when a programme is full but never blocks a person's judgement
- Staff: records and documents, each with an expiry date
- Billing: invoices, payments and expenses, with totals the system calculates, never typed in by hand
- Annual budget: planned against actual spending, with copy-last-year and fill-across-twelve-months so it's usable, not a grid of 216 empty cells
- Payroll: monthly salaries
- An overview of what's overdue or about to expire, including the centre's own licences
- A full activity log of who changed what
Keeping children's data safe
Security doesn't live in the screens, where a missed check would leak data. It lives in the database. Every table denies access by default, and the database itself decides what each role can see. An admin sees everything. An accountant sees what billing needs and nothing about a child's care. If a page ever forgot to check, the database would still refuse.
Money is calculated by the database, not the browser. The activity log can only ever be added to, never edited. A suite of automated security tests proves each of these rules before any change ships.
What's not in it: AI
There's no AI in this system, on purpose. Its job is to be accurate, private and dependable. We say "we'll tell you when AI is the wrong answer", and this was one of those times.
